This video was created for an assignment in the Design Principles of Online and Blended Learning course at ASU. In this assignment, we acted as a member of the learning design team at the fictional Jurassic Park University. The logo was provided by our instructor. Our goal was to train the faculty in how to use the popular learning management system (LMS), Canvas.
Throughout this video, I used the colors from the Jurassic Park University logo. I maintained consistency throughout in the typeface, transitions, and click highlights. The screen recordings help learners connect the content to the software as they will see it in practice.
The Learning Design and Technology program consistently encourages us to leverage any available tools, including AI in some cases. In this video, I used Amazon Polly to generate the voiceover. I wrote the script, created a storyboard, produced the screen recordings using SnagIt, and edited the video using Camtasia, including all animations. The stock videos are either licensed through Freepik or free assets provided by Camtasia.
